Is there a hotel in Disney World that is acutally a decent WALK to Downtown Disney?

Planning my 2009 Disney World vacation and would like some info on nearby Downtown Disney hotels that are actually walking distance to Downtown Disney. Not planning on renting a car since we’ll be in the area for just a couple of nights. Did not want to spend an arm and a leg for this hotel since we will only be utilizing it for a good nights sleep…Any info will be appreciated! Have a great day.

Boardwalk Villas and Yacht Club are fairly close and can be considered walking distance

The on-site Hilton is a short walk from Downtown Disney.

Yes, I agree with the person above. I just booked at the Hilton which is right across the street from Downtown Disney, because of it’s close distance. There’s also a DoubleTree and a few others right in that area.

The Hilton is nice. There are a few other Downtown Disney hotels. All the onsite Disney Resorts offer bus service to Downtown Disney, so you would not need to rent a car.

From any Disney resort, they supply free transportation to any of the Disney parks, shopping places, etc., so not renting a car will be smart and eco-friendly! Stay at Saratoga Springs, it’s a few years old and really nice! We stayed there summer of 2007. And it’s walking distance to Downtown Disney (or you can take a boat there lol) and close to Epcot. Have fun there, Disney World is great!
