What are the best discounted travel websites to book trips?

I have seen many special “deals” to book vacation trips on Expedia or bookingbuddy.com. Are these specials legitimate? I am looking to go to Cabo San Lucas or somewhere in the Caribbean from the NorthEast. Any suggestions of trusting websites? Thank you!!

I use Expedia and have never had in problem. Usually, I just book airfare from them and find hotels separately, but on a couple of occassions where the Expedia package was actually cheaper, it worked out fine.
