Don’t waste your time or money on these, there are faults in the plastic which cause bubbles too.
Bubbles, bubbles everywhere, and only a flimsy piece of cardboard to push them out. As you can guess, it don’t work, either leave the iPad face alone or wait for a better solution Rating: 1 / 5

The review by Jake claims the Apple case protects the screen and it does not, the case doesn’t even close and it flaps around if you insert it in a bag. If you want your ipad protected from screen damage then get a screen protector. However, this one was hard to put on I have huge bubbles and lots of lint that came from the supplied cloth on my iPad now. Rating: 3 / 5

After trying the Boxwave, it did not want to waist another $30,
These work fine but install much more fool proof with a second set of hands.
Here is how we did it:
1) Take the protector as delivered and lay it on screen to get a feel for the margins needed for alignment.
2) Clean the screen to be dust free
3) Peal 1-2 inches of backing back using pull tab #1 (with red writing on mine). DO NOT touch the exposed area, doubled over backing onto itself so you don’t ruin the sticky side.
4) Start at end opposite from button and lay and align the 1-2 exposed end down carefully.
5) HERE IS WHERE THE EXTRA HANDS COME IN: Now have the second person with the microfiber cloth in hand hold the adhered portion and slowly rub from side to side following you and you pull more and more backing off holding the doubled over backing. If done slowly, you will get a bubble free install.
6) Towards the button you will need to pull off the last 1-2 inches of backing so the film will contact the surface.
7) Now take a credit card (make sure it has a consistent and smooth edge, 400-600 grit sandpaper can help ease the sharp edge) and work out any bubbles in the first and last few inches and the edges. Any bubbles should be close to the edge and work out easily. In step #5 make sure there are no bubbles in the center (viewable area) as you work the film dome toward the button. If you see some, just pull the film up and slowly lay it down.
Hope this helps. Rating: 4 / 5

Failed on all three attempts to use this product. Actually, let me clarify: placed the first protector on successfully, but it still had a couple of specks underneath – i figured they were there because some microscopic stuff is always floating around the air here in Brooklyn. Then I looked closer at the remaining two unused sheets. Those little specks were, conveniently, PRE-PLACED at the factory. As in: they arrived at my doorstep from the factory with specks between the protective layer and the plastic sheet. And because the sheet is electrostatic, they can never be removed.
I threw the whole lot out and stopped wasting my time.
Word to the manufacturer, ChiTek: you should seal these in plastic at the factory instead of letting them travel unprotected inside a cardboard package (the likely source of my problem occurred during shipment).
Avoid this product. Rating: 1 / 5
