I am disappointed with this wine saver. It is supposed to “click” twice when the proper vacuum strength is reached. It does not. I have a plastic one at my home in Texas, and it clicks. Rating: 1 / 5

Disappointment. Pourers in the Stainless set are plastic.
Appears to work OK. I didn’t hear the click, however I
didn’t have my hearing aids on. Rating: 4 / 5

I’ve only used it for about a month so far, but it has worked as advertised. Get’s about 2-4 more days out of an opened bottle of wine before the flavor loss is to much. Clicks when sealed (and I stop pumping). Have to wait and see how well it holds up long term. Takes many pumps to get to seal point, but that’s no different than other pumps I’ve tried. Rating: 4 / 5

As another reviewer noted it’s not always in a wine’s best interest to have all the air sucked out of the bottle it’s in. It works well to preserve most wines, but the change in pressure can have an odd effect on some wines. I ruined a $50 bottle of Chardonnay which tasted amazing when first opened, but the next day (after having been “saved” by Vacu Vin) was flat, dull and insipid.
You’re probably better off (with any wine) to drink it quickly once opened. The Vacu-Vin can buy you some time, but might also turn the contents of your bottle into something that is no longer worth saving. It’s a toss up. Rating: 3 / 5

Since wine only has about a seven day shelf life (at most) after being opened this product is amazing. It seriously extends the life of your bottle. Though you shouldn’t drink it after a week, that week’s wine still tastes so much better than just being corked. Rating: 4 / 5
