What laptop do you suggest for storing music, songs and also to do college work?

I am buying a laptop today, and I want a laptop that is fast, can run multiple programs, can play DVDs, and have lots of room to store music and pictures. Preferably if it is also under 1,000 dollars. Please help me out!

Well things most people look for is
RAM – Speed and and amount, look for 2GB minimum
CPU- Core 2 Duo is probably your best bet
GPU – look for a system that has a video card with dedicated memory
Hard drive space is self explanatory

(I don’t think you’ll find a better deal than this)
